Career background
After studying Economics and Business Studies, I joined Hugh J Boswell in June 2001 as an Account Handler. Following intensive training, promoted through the business to Account Executive. Appointed as a Director of the business in 2011. Formed part of the three-way management buy-out team, which acquired the company from its previous owners in 2013. Achieved ACII Chartered Insurance Broker Status in 2015. In addition to the overall development and growth of the company and servicing and supporting of my clients, I’m responsible for delivery of the company’s IT and systems strategy.
Why Hugh J Boswell?
Following College, my Father invited me to work for the business for a year to see what I thought. Since then, I’ve never looked back. I’m exceptionally proud to be an owner of a successful business that’s been trading over 100 years. Being part of a young and ambitious leadership team who are constantly striving to make the company better for our clients and employees, means every day is a new and exciting challenge.
Interests
Aside from the business, the majority of my spare time is spent with my wife Gemma, and my two young children Sebastian and Elise. I’m a gadget enthusiast and have a passion for new technology. I’m also a bit of a thrill seeker and have skydived, ridden in a two seat dragster and wing walked. Although my best golfing days are a distant memory, I still manage to play to a respectable standard.
